Want to see SD-WAN in action? WAN Dynamics CTO Jason Gintert presents an impromptu video showing just how incredibly seamless access failover is using VeloCloud SD-WAN. Here Jason demonstrates failover from cable Internet to 4G/LTE in the middle of a hosted IP phone call, and the call does not drop! See it for yourself!

Looking back

I have told this story on a dozen podcasts since: I plugged two circuits into a VeloCloud edge, yanked the primary, lost one ping, and decided to start a company. This is that demonstration, recorded impromptu because explaining seamless failover to people was taking longer than showing it.

A circuit gets unplugged, the call stays up, and the overlay re-steers traffic before anyone on the other end would notice. If you want the explanation of what is happening underneath, the path probing, the sub-second convergence and the forward error correction, my Art of Network Engineering episode walks through all of it.

If you would like to learn more about how SD-WAN from WAN Dynamics can help your organization save both time and money, while increasing your WAN visibility and performance, contact us to schedule a live demonstration today!
